Louvre Pyramid Tension Rod Support System
The glass pyramid at the Louvre is the iconic entrance to the Louvre Museum.
TriPyramid worked with the architect, structural engineers, and contractor to develop the tension rod system which supports the pyramid. TriPyramid’s experience with the high-strength stainless steels used for the fittings that hold up racing sailboat masts led to a solution with the smallest possible, yet aesthetically distinguished, rods and fittings, satisfying all customer specifications. TriPyramid manufactured and supplied the 3,800 rod assemblies.
