Brooklyn Museum of Art, Stepping Glass Roof
The stepping glass roof is probably the most notable feature of the new entrance to the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
TriPyramid worked closely with the architect, glazing engineer and glazing contractor to develop and supply all the structural elements of this roof: long, painted, graceful plate beams, large stainless steel castings that “float” the glass above the plate beams, and the tension trusses that stabilize the plate beams and provide vertical support for the glass.
