George L. Duncan Park Dedication Plaza

Dedication Plaza is a public park and water sculpture designed to capture the industrial past, decline, and rebirth of Lowell, MA. The main feature of the plaza is the water sculpture made up of three COR-TEN, or weathering steel, stacks, fabricated by TriPyramid, from which water cascades onto a plinth of water and granite. Prior to fabrication TriPyramid tested weathering processes in our facility to ensure a high level of depth, quality, and stability to the initial patina upon installation. The stacks were fabricated and weathered, then delivered to site as individual objects that will continue to age into unique pieces over time.
