Glass Skylight, MIT Brain and Cognitive Sciences Complex
The glass skylight over this vast atrium is a primary design feature in one of MIT’s most recent research facilities.
TriPyramid worked with the architect and engineer to develop the critical connection details. TriPyramid manufactured the B315 high strength stainless steel turnbuckles and the stainless strand cables to the highest standards of precision and finish for ease of installation on the painted steel frame, by others. In addition, TriPyramid designed and supplied a hydraulic tensioning system.
