Glass, Wood and Stainless Steel Stair
This elegant residential stair is designed to have a visual presence in the space, while appearing to float from one floor to the next.
TriPyramid collaborated with the designer and structural engineer on all details for this stair: cantilevered tread supports, vertical stainless and aluminum bar assemblies from which the treads cantilever and glass is mounted, and balustrade of high-strength stainless rods aligning treads below and handrail above. A combination of precision machining and hand craftsmanship was required to provide perfect parts and the uniform, low reflectivity finish. Wooden and leather treads and wooden handrail by others.
