Ottawa Museum of Nature Lantern
This five story glass “lantern” sits above an early 20th century stone museum building, which is affectionately known as “The Castle”. The structure literally glows like a lantern at night, in various colors.
TriPyramid worked with the glass structure designers to detail and supply a series of delicate stainless steel tension rods from our medium strength A22 product line, which stabilize the vertical glass fins against buckling. TriPyramid supplied custom end fittings to allow rod couplers to pass through the glass fins, in addition to B210 high strength clevis ends.
