Princeton Genomics Center, Cable Net Wall
The cable net support system for the wall of this dramatic building was designed to be as close to invisible as possible. The minimal glass fittings are intended to be functional pieces of art.
The fittings holding the glass panels were designed in a close collaboration between TriPyramid and the architect, using the latest computer solid modeling software. The same solid model was used by Tripyramid for engineering analysis and by the casting vendor to make the lost wax molds for the three-part fitting. TriPyramid supplied the oval patch fittings and stainless steel strand cables assemblies, with B310 cable turnbuckle end fittings.
