Streetscape Sunshades, Battery Park NYC

These glass and stainless steel sunshades are significant features in the streetscape of Battery Park City in New York.

TriPyramid worked with the architect and artist to develop the mechanical details, including the sophisticated hardware for holding the shade-producing glass blades. TriPyramid fabricated the stainless steel structure for all the sunscreens. The glass screen elements, by others, were assembled at TriPyramid and then trucked to the site where they were hoisted onto the stainless steel supports TriPyramid provided.
